Windows Embedded Standard 8 Community Technology Preview (CTP)

千呼萬喚WES 8 終於出了CTP 版了. 先提供Download 網址
先來看看安裝WES8 Toolkit 的基本需求：
H/W Requirements:

• 1 GHz 32 bit (x86) or 64 bit (x64) processor
• 1 GB of system memory (32 bit), 2 GB of system memory (64 bit)
• 7 GB of free hard disk space for complete installation of the toolkit
• DVD-ROM drive
• USB 2.0 port

Software Requirement:

• Windows 7 SP1 OS.

WES 8 基本上是從Windows 8作業系統所元件化，Windows 8最精華的功能都會被搬至WES8，再加上Embedded 功能.(真是物超所值)
1.首先最大的變動就是多了Metro Style Application (動態磚的風格與Windows Phone 7 系列一樣)，以看下圖

2.內建提供SCCM(Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager) 與 WEDM Plug-in.
3.開發的發式不變依然提供ICE與IBW的方式.
4.提供高度客制化的Shell UI修改，包括開機Logo、登入、登出、關機畫面和Windows系統態度對話框.
